Jim and Pam Morris

Tell us a little about yourself:

We have been married 33 years and have one daughter, Caroline. Jim grew up in the Madison/Rivergate area and Pam grew up in Portland, TN.  Jim is a retired school administrator and continues to work part-time with MNPS. Pam is a retired engineer from Peterbilt Motors and currently cleans houses part-time.

What most excites you about Well House Church?
We both are excited about being an imperfect church who welcomes imperfect people and introduces them to a perfect God! Jim absolutely loves the freedom experienced in our worship and the variety of ways we can honor Christ. Pam loves the diversity in our partners backgrounds and how we all are unified by our core belief in Christ.
We are eager to spread Christ’s love and acceptance to the Rivergate and surrounding communities.
What hobbies/activities/events give you life?

Jim enjoys maintaining a healthy lifestyle while Pam enjoys a serving of chocolate each day. We enjoy reading and taking long walks on the beach for relaxation while on vacation. Jim and Pam are involved in most of the events at Well House and Pam tutors/mentors with Begin Anew.

Share with us some favorites:

We love eating Mexican and at Top Hog in Gallatin and will be happy to eat out at a moments notice. Dessert is a must for Pam! We listen to K-Love 97.1 and the music we grew up with: Supremes, Journey, Heart, Eagles and most 70’s/80’s hits. We both love to read spiritual growth books. Some of our favorite authors are: N.T. Wright, Timothy Keller, Richard Foster, Henri Nouwen, A.W. Tozer, and Watchman Nee. Above all one of our favorite activities is daily Bible study.

Give us one “fun fact”:

Our roles are a bit reversed at home from the typical couple. Jim is the artsy, interior design person and he’s big on food presentation when serving guests. Pam is the “Tool Time Tim” making house repairs, painting, and engineering all home renovation projects – we make a good team!
